Since 2003, the Socioculture Fund has been awarding the “Socioculture Innovation Prize”, endowed with 10,000 euros, to cultural/artistic initiatives, centers and associations every two years.
This prize has been awarded by the Fonds Soziokultur as an additional incentive for the development of outstanding projects. The award is tied to a specific topic in a call for project funds.
Project sponsors cannot therefore apply directly for this cultural award, but must take part in the corresponding call for funds and submit a funding application for a project that deals with the given topic in terms of content. If the applicant receives funding from the fund for this specific project, the Board of Trustees can also nominate the project for the Innovation Award.
The nominated projects are specially monitored and assessed during their realization. After all projects have been completed, a separate jury will decide on the awarding of the “Sociocultural Innovation Prize”. If necessary, the jury can also award a second prize (endowed with 5,000 euros) and a third prize (endowed with 3,000 euros) or split prizes.
