VERTIKAL – Clay / Art / Workshop – The ecologically sustainable raw material clay can not only be used as a building material, it is also ideal for creating sculptures, objects, reliefs and murals. In this workshop you have the opportunity to get to know and feel the natural material clay in a self-determined way. Using simple techniques and having fun experimenting, you can create your own individual design project.

Whether you are a layperson, student, pensioner or artist, come along and give free rein to your creativity. As artistic director, I will support you in your plans.

During the 2 days, you will also gain a brief insight into the “Schwemme” project. We will mix and process different types of clay in the rustic “Tenne” project room.

The focus of the workshop is the presentation and exploration of different verticalities. An object or sculpture is created using two different working methods. By building up or removing material, another component of the object is the substructure. Various materials will be available for you to work and experiment with.

Imagine this workshop as a haptic journey with the natural raw material clay, nothing must, everything can. Everyone is welcome, you don’t need any previous knowledge.

On the last day, 13.06.24, we will stage an exhibition together. The resulting works can be presented here. There will also be musical accompaniment from the band Ute Who. I look forward to reflecting on the week with you and your friends on this evening and rounding it off with a drink.

Please bring warm work clothes, it can be chilly in the barn.
