For the seventh time, the Discovery Art Fair presents young, contemporary art in the banking metropolis of Frankfurt am Main, the hub of Europe. On the first weekend in November, more than 120 international exhibitors will present a broad spectrum of up-and-coming art at the Frankfurt exhibition grounds.
The Discovery Art Fair is more than just an art fair in Frankfurt am Main. Visitors have the opportunity to enter into dialog with international artists in a relaxed, communicative atmosphere and to acquire original art for their own four walls. Quite unlike in a museum, it offers the opportunity to get very close to artists and collectors and to explore new, exciting positions in contemporary art together. In addition to classic gallery programs, the fair offers a forum for art that seeks new ways of presentation and marketing. Temporary or pop-up galleries, producer galleries, art mediators and the artists themselves bring a lot of enthusiasm for art and, above all, offer a diverse selection of good, fresh art.
The Discovery Fair, which attracted thousands of visitors in its first six editions, offers art lovers and art enthusiasts, young and established collectors, as well as first-time buyers, a multifaceted range of contemporary art. It ranges from large-format paintings to pocket-sized editions. In addition to classical painting, drawing and printmaking, sculptures, installations, mixed media and video art are also represented. The fair also focuses on photography and urban art, whose innovative works have now found their way into renowned collections around the world. The variety of styles and themes of the artworks exhibited at the Discovery Art Fair offers a unique experience for visitors, artists and art dealers.
Our other fairs, the Discovery Art Fair Berlin, which was launched eighteen years ago and is now on hiatus, have established themselves as discovery fairs for contemporary art. Discovery Art Fair Berlin (formerly BERLINER LISTE) and the ten-year-old Discovery Art Fair Cologne (formerly KÖLNER LISTE), which has been running for ten years, have become firmly established. Tens of thousands of visitors flock to our art events every year to find out about the latest developments in contemporary art and to acquire cutting-edge works that have just been created in studios around the world. Many of the works exhibited at our fairs can now be found in renowned collections and museums around the world and can be seen at major art fairs in Miami, Madrid, Hong Kong and New York.
