With BBK members Renin Zeynep Simsek, Franziska Schnürer, Arif Amirov, Jorge Sanchez Di Bello, Paul Werner and other artists
On Friday 28.06.2024 at 18:00 our exhibition “Camillo Schneider seeks the beautiful city (…and meets the Tropical Heins)” opens. In the project, artists (e.g. from Leipzig, Berlin, Weimar, Halle) as well as passers-by were and are invited to visualize surreal and extremely fictitious landscapes under the pseudonym “Camillo Schneider”, which @camillo.schneider brings back from his travels in recent years. These collaboratively painted landscapes are juxtaposed in the exhibition with an installation of painted objects by @tropicalheins, who presents his very own view of landscape. The painterly installation focuses on small things that characterize and shape the urban landscape, which Heins apparently enjoys so much that he presents them in exaggerated size. In addition to our exhibition space (Am Steintor 19), both positions will be juxtaposed on our display walls in the pedestrian zone at Steintor as part of the exhibition.
Participating artists are Renin Zeynep Simsek, Natalia Gay, Eliane Diua, Svenja Hinzmann, Inka Lorena Schottdorf, Franziska Schnürer, Martin Schuster, Robert Müglitz, Arif Amirov, Jorge Sanchez Di Bello, Sylvie Vian, Paul Werner, Andrea Amaya Cuadras Martínez, Gunther Schumann, Martin Nielebock, Francisco Föse, and many more,
