I began my artistic journey with woodcuts. In 2013, I approached a completely new and graphic form of expression.
Again, I worked with the diverse organic forms of nature: leaf, tree, blossom, landscape. Now the focus is on the hidden forms, folds, cracks and fractures, the rough edges that become visible through the power of the individual lines in the woodcut.
Pictorial motifs from earlier works reappear and form new connections. The idea of viewing the natural environment as a visual construction kit. My new form of graphic collages in which past and present merge to create something new.
