This call is aimed at artists of all disciplines who can imagine realizing art outdoors and who live and work in the Federal Republic of Germany or Switzerland. It is not art in public space or public art in the true sense of the word. The SOPHIA garden is a “protected” garden. This means that it will be surrounded by a 1.50 m high fence and a hedge.
Procedure
The artistsare asked to develop an artistic intervention for the SOPHIA garden. Every artistin can apply with one work.
The sculpture may not be taller than 3 meters and no wider than 1.50 meters. It should be implemented in such a way that it remains permanently installed at the site with low maintenance requirements. Work that uses water or electronic/digital elements is excluded.
The project will take place between July 2024 and June 2025
Submission of project outlines by October 30, 2024. Later applications will not be accepted.
Evaluation of the submissions by November 15, 2024.
Announcement of the winning design and the 2. and 3rd place: December 06, 2024, followed by an exhibition of all submitted designs: 6-9 p.m., Hussenstraße 14, 78462 Konstanz
