The marehalm Art Prize is aimed at artists who have found their own artistic position, which is surprising and has so far received too little attention. These unseen artists, who fulfill the requirements listed under conditions of participation, can apply for the art prize. There are no restrictions for the applicants in terms of level of education or age, but the above-mentioned own artistic position must be recognizable. The areas for the art prize are broadly defined: Painting, graphics, sculptures, textile art, goldsmithing, silversmithing, ceramics, photography or other artistic directions are welcome.
Three prizes of 1st place € 3.000,- / 2nd place € 2.000,- / 3rd place € 1.000,- will be awarded at the Richard Haizmann Museum in Niebüll based on the decision of a jury.
The jury will select candidates from all entries who will present a selection of their works in Niebüll at the Richard Haizmann Museum by arrangement. Based on the artworks of these candidates, the jury will select the three winners of the art prize. There is no legal recourse, the jury’s decision cannot be contested and the applicant automatically declares that he/she owns all rights to the works presented by submitting the application portfolio. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
