The tender for the 100 Saxon Graphics 2024 will be thematically focused: Fire, Fire! With Fire, Fire!, this year’s Biennale of Graphic Arts also aims to draw attention to increasingly inflammatory and aggressively escalating social processes. Parallel to the fatal treatment of nature, social disputes in the present are increasingly leading to ever harsher confrontations. Statements replace dialogs. Finding common ground is more difficult. Culture is becoming more important as a space for discourse and thus solutions. As a non-verbal source of inspiration, art can help to overcome speechlessness and find common ground with its little-worn visual language. This year, art will once again be seen primarily in a social context. Participation: All artists whose main focus of work and influence is in Saxony are eligible to participate. Submission: A maximum of four individual prints or a cycle of prints created since 2022 can be submitted. The submission must include up-to-date information about your artistic career. If the sheet size of 84 x 120 cm is exceeded or if the work cannot be framed, the form of presentation should be planned or explained with the submission. Submission deadline: Submissions can be made by April 30, 2024 by post or in person (daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) at the Neue Sächsische Galerie, Moritzstraße 20, 09111 Chemnitz. The submission is only valid with a fully completed and signed accompanying form.
