From 1983-1991 she led the painting and graphics circle in Wolmirstedt. In 2015, Christiane Schütze was accepted into the Berufsverband Bildender Künstler Sachsen-Anhalt.

“In my artistic exploration, I am concerned with making the essential visible, be it landscapes, portraits or figurative drawings. My work is characterized by a close connection to nature. This is where I find colors and forms, although I then reduce them very much, sometimes to the extreme. With the reduction, I want to show an intrinsic quality of the conditions.”

In the exhibition Christiane Schütze shows a portrait series in watercolor and three figurative series in red chalk, ink and mixed media.
