Art on the building
Art in architecture is a relevant field of work for visual artists. This is also the case in Saxony-Anhalt. A great deal of knowledge and experience is required for competitions and other award procedures to be carried out successfully. We therefore offer advice on art-in-architecture procedures for the state, for municipalities and for other awarding authorities and are happy to be available for selection committees or juries.
As part of our transparency survey, we regularly ask our members to indicate their willingness to participate in this area. By listing previous references, we ensure that you receive competent advice. The following also applies in this artistic field: appropriate remuneration is essential. We are therefore committed to ensuring that the submission of designs is always rewarded.
Differences at federal, state and local level
Art in construction is an integral part of federal and state building projects in Saxony-Anhalt. That is a good thing and should stay that way. There are different regulations and procedures at municipal level. While a fixed budget in Halle (Saale) ensures that a competition for art in architecture / art in public spaces can be held almost every year, this is only occasionally the case in Magdeburg, Dessau-Roßlau and other places in Saxony-Anhalt.

Our members include numerous artists with extensive experience in the field of art in architecture. A working group ensures further professionalization.
