A work of art is to be created on the Hubland university campus, at the interface between the old and new campus, which represents the university and acts as a “landmark”. The process will be carried out as an open competition in 2 phases. In phase 1, 8-10 participants will be selected for further competition on the basis of an idea sketch. In phase 2, they will be asked to submit more detailed designs for the artwork, from which the jury will select the top three. Freelance artists or groups of artists who meet the participation criteria can apply. Applications can be submitted up to and including 07.03.2025.
Task
The artwork should function as a landmark and point of orientation at a central location, strengthen the identity of the place and invite people to view, experience and linger.
