The Kulturpolitische Gesellschaft e.V. is awarding the KULTURGESTALTEN cultural policy prize for the third time
With the KULTURGESTALTEN Future Prize for Cultural Policy, we would like to draw attention to cultural policy practice, guiding principles and visions, highlight forward-looking commitment in this area and encourage imitation. We are looking for projects, practical examples and individuals who have developed interdepartmental and interdisciplinary strategies, dared to experiment in terms of structure and content, defined pioneering demands for cultural policy and cultural planning, developed innovative approaches and/or reached new target groups. Three particularly outstanding practical examples are to be honored with a total endowment of 15,000 euros.
The following criteria are taken into account in the assessment:
- the degree of innovation of the submitted projects/practical examples or the cultural policy commitment of the individuals and the associated ways of thinking and acting
- the social relevance of the projects/practical examples or the cultural-political commitment of the individuals, which deal with social challenges such as globalization, sustainability, singularization, digitalization or economization and stimulate cultural and social transformation processes
- the use of new governance models, such as synergies through the cooperation/collaboration of different actors, which are developed and implemented across fields, departments or divisions
- the participation of different and/or new social groups
- the exemplary character of the project-related activities and the cultural policy commitment of the individuals for cultural policy and cultural planning
Applications are open to public, private and civil society institutions and associations, including universities, associations and foundations committed to cultural policy, associations, administrations or cultural institutions, as well as individuals.
Competition entries can only be submitted via the respective online form.
