In the March edition of the BBKarium’s showcase exhibition, Dessau artist Astrid Salewski invites you to explore the sometimes disturbing beauty of quiet moments with her small selection of images. On display are works that were created as part of a work scholarship on the subject of “Under the Ice” and for the exhibition “” as well as for the book project “The Silence in the Blue” using various techniques and materials.
In contrast to these quiet pictures, the freelance painter often deals with the hidden sides of human nature in her work and, full of imagination, likes to skim a beat past reality. She lives and works in Dessau-Roßlau and has her studio with a small gallery not far from the Kornhaus and the Elbe.
