The premises of Martin Kippenberger’s former studio are used by Global Forest as the artists’ residence at Friedrichstrasse 5a. Since May 2019, national and international artists have been given the opportunity to deepen their artistic practice, explore new themes, develop new works on site and exhibit or present them as part of a funded residency. Friedrichstrasse 5a thus offers artists the framework to experiment freely on the one hand, but also the space to pursue their own innovative projects in the idyllic seclusion of the Black Forest in a concentrated and undisturbed manner on the other. The respective conditions for the residences depend on the project and may vary slightly. If possible, the resident will receive a monthly stipend of 1000 € during the stay, can dispose of a production budget of 500 € for the realization of the submitted project and we will subsidize the journey to and from the venue with up to 300 €.
