Cutting. Folding. Soaking. Tearing. Crumpling. Folding. Swinging. Pressing. Rolling. Stacking. Sticking. Paper is a complex and flexible material that can be worked in many different ways and is also one of the core materials in art lessons. This year’s specialist day will focus on sharpening the inner perception of paper, exploring the diverse properties of the material, basic techniques of processing and creating connections as well as artistic working methods in connection with paper. In an impulse phase, the participants learn basic joining techniques and explore the material. This is followed by individual experimentation and the creation of their own projects. The aim is not only to provide approaches, techniques and methods that are transferable to art lessons, but also to promote an exchange on a sustainable
approach to paper.
