Coming from textiles, I have tried out many different materials and techniques over the years. At the moment there are often photographs at the beginning of a work, which – processed on the computer and printed on aluminum dibond – in the end bear no resemblance to the original motif, especially in terms of content. The exhibition includes works from the “Vernetzt” series, which are also printed on Alu-Dibond. They are based on the outline of a fascinating weathered wall “drawing”. The motif has a soft, textile feel to it, which brings me back to my original material in a different way.
