For the MIXED UP Prize 2024 under the motto “Rewriting futures”, we are looking for successful partnerships between schools, all-day providers or daycare centers and actors in cultural education that enable young people to rewrite their futures.
The participating projects and offerings address the challenges of our time, such as super-diversity, climate change, poverty, war, extremism and social division. The cooperation partners work together as equals, incorporate the pupils’ perspectives and experiences, make the creative ability of young people in schools and daycare centers tangible and visible and open up creative spaces for experimentation in the everyday lives of children and young people.
Participation is possible until July 31, 2024. At the award ceremony on November 8, 2024 in Berlin, three projects or offers will each be awarded 5,000 euros in prize money.
What are the requirements for an application?
- Projects and offers that have already been completed or are currently taking place are honored. A project should not end more than one year ago (May 2023). The projects or proposals must be able to justify why their thematic focus fits in with this year’s competition theme “Rewriting futures”.
- At least one school, one all-day provider or one daycare center and at least one cultural education stakeholder were involved in the implementation.
- The projects/offers are primarily aimed at young people, but can also involve parents or other participants from the cooperation partners’ facilities.
- Applications are open to sponsors from all over Germany who work together with one or more partners (e.g. school, day care center, all-day provider, association, cultural institution, self-organized youth group or individual).
Application deadline: July 31, 2024
