Project description:
We are looking for an artistic contribution on the subject of “The theatrical in art” that integrates performative approaches and theatrical elements. The works should actively involve the space and the audience in the creative process and create interactive, dynamic relationships. The focus is on the interaction between image, movement and audience, which turns the space into a living stage. Here, art is not only presented, but also brought into the space through movement, sound or interactivity.

Here, the Kunstraum Halle itself becomes a stage. The boundary between artwork and audience becomes blurred – the theatrical is understood as a continuous, dynamic process in which both enter into dialog with each other. The space is not just a backdrop, but becomes an active part of the production.

A digital platform could also increase interactivity and make the experience accessible to a broader, global public. In this way, the artistic practice can be experienced beyond the physical space.

The Kunstraum Halle is a place where art and theater are in an active, interactive relationship with each other. The space itself becomes a stage, and the theatrical is experienced as a living, ongoing process – a place where art is not only viewed, but actively experienced and co-created.
