In January and February, Artspring Berlin brings light into the dark season and, in cooperation with the Milchhof studio community, organizes a small light art festival in the pavilion at Milchhof. Since 2009, the Pavillon am Milchhof has offered numerous artists from Berlin and far beyond a unique space for exhibitions. The Pavillon am Milchhof is located on the premises of the Ateliergemeinschaft Milchhof, Schwedter Straße 232 and can be viewed 24/7.
Two curated exhibitions with 4-6 artistic positions are planned. Artistic works that experiment with light as a material and for which light is the central medium can be submitted. Both experimental and established forms of light art are welcome.
With their application, the artists confirm that they will be responsible for setting up their work on site and will attend the vernissage of their respective exhibition. The application deadline is Sunday, November 10, 2024. An expense allowance of up to €200 can be provided for transportation, materials or the implementation of accompanying events.
The dates for the two exhibitions are as follows:
1st exhibition:
- Setup: January 6 and 7, 2025
- Vernissage: January 8, 2025
- Exhibition duration: January 8 to January 26, 2025
- Dismantling: January 27, 2025
2nd exhibition:
- Setup: January 28 and 29, 2025
- Vernissage: January 30, 2025
- Exhibition duration: January 30 to February 17, 2025
- Dismantling: February 18 and 19, 2025
