Change of view
The path over the mountain to the next village is called “zur Sonne”. Solidified clay – dust underfoot – glistening brightness as far as the willow trees in the valley. Shards picked up from the path are later pressed into the wall of the resulting figure. Together with traces of work, lines and impressions, more and more densities are created – a landscape of its own in close-up. The view extends from the studio door across the terrace to the field. Meanwhile, the wheat has already been harvested and the stubble catches the last light of the day, while the rest of the landscape sinks into the shadows of the hills…
