The specific key dates for the Lesser Ury Prize 2025 are as follows:
- Prize: Lesser Ury Art Prize 2025
- Topic: “What if…” – Draw a picture that could continue the beginning of our sentence!
- Technique: Painting with oil or acrylic
- Size: maximum 50cm x 70cm; however, the work may be smaller; please send only 1 picture
- Procedure: Please first send your work digitally (resolution 300 dpi, max. file size 2 MB) to
- Closing date: March 31, 2025
- Requirements: In addition to your digital work, please send us an artistic career with a list of exhibitions (max. 1 DIN A4 page)
- Age of participants: from 18 years
- Exclusion: Informal and overpainted photographs
- Prizes: Honor (the prize is currently not endowed) and publication in our magazine, homepage and in the press.
Shortlist & Exhibition
The KünstlerGilde e.V. is exhibiting participants in the shortlist exhibition for the Lesser Ury Prize 2025 at Küferstraße 37 in 73728 Esslingen near Wolfstor – probably from mid-April 2025. As soon as the participants have been determined, they will be named here on this page
The shortlisted participants selected by the jury will be informed by the KünstlerGilde in good time and asked to send in the originals for the exhibition.
In general, it should be mentioned in this context that the association has no funds for special insurance. If you estimate the value of your works at 5000 euros or more, we would ask you to refrain from submitting/participating as a precautionary measure.
Vernissage
The original works of the qualifiers for the shortlist of the Lesser Ury Prize 2025 can be viewed by the public on the premises of the KünstlerGilde in Esslingen (Küferstr. 37). The date of the vernissage has not yet been set. Admission is free.
Jury & Winner
There is a qualified jury. As a submitter, please do not expect any comments on individual submissions. The jury’s decisions are not contestable.
The final winners will be published in the KünstlerGilde e.V. magazine, which is published twice a year in printed and electronic form. By participating, you agree to be published in the KünstlerGilde e.V. magazine, in other print media and on the association’s homepage.
