The “Ilse Augustin Foundation for the Promotion of Visual Artists”, founded in 1997, will award two grants of €15,000 each to visual artists in 2024, subject to available funds, in order to improve their social situation and work opportunities.
All artists who can provide proof of a degree from an art academy or equivalent training are eligible for a scholarship.
In connection with the scholarships, the foundation can also organize, implement and finance exhibitions with works by the scholarship holders as well as publications about their work.
(Informal) applications will be accepted at until 31.10.2024, as a maximum 3-page PDF containing information on the biography, artistic CV and planned use of the scholarship.
If the grant is awarded to support an artistic project, the scholarship holder must provide evidence of the intended use.
In the event of non-compliance, the grant may be reclaimed.
A five-member jury of experts will decide on the award in November / December 2024.
By submitting their entries, applicants agree to the archiving of their documents for the purpose of the internal documentation of the “Ilse Augustin Foundation for the Promotion of Visual Artists”.
Due to limited personnel capacities, the Foundation requests that you refrain from making requests in advance.
Closing date: October 31, 2024
