From now until December 31, 2024, artists from various disciplines who live and work in Germany can apply for a four to eight-month scholarship at the Tarabya Cultural Academy in Istanbul. In addition, the Turkish-German co-production scholarships will once again be awarded in cooperation with the Allianz Foundation; tandems of artists from Germany and Turkey can apply for these scholarships together.
The scholarships offer artists and cultural practitioners from Germany a space for the contemplative development and realization of their creative work in exchange and cooperation with local artists and cultural institutions in Turkey. In addition, the residency provides a protected artistic space in increasingly challenging times for artistic creation.
Artists and cultural practitioners who have already achieved public recognition with their works or publications can apply for the residencies in Istanbul from October 2025. The scholarships will be awarded as part of an open call procedure. Applications from students cannot be considered.
