On 17. and At the M*halle of the Mecklenburgisches Staatstheater Schwerin on February 18, 2025, we want to try out new ways of reconciling care work and work as an artist with you, exchange and reflect, encourage each other and think ahead together with initiatives and associations. The resource for coming together and living our hidden potential is: TIME. In art production, time as a resource is still a central issue, but one that is far too often associated with a (supposed) lack of it. And parenthood, whether in the alternating model, as a nuclear family, as a single parent or as a queer family, makes this resource even scarcer.
The care revolution has begun! We don’t want to perform, we just want to be. This society has such an immense care deficit, it’s time to pull the plug. Let’s turn the world upside down, it’s not that hard, just get started. Hold hands, allow yourselves the peace and quiet, the break. Reflection, encounters, relaxation in company.
