The Tiroler Landesmuseen-Betriebsgesellschaft m.b.H. invites artists to take part in the “Ferdinandeum – Art on the Building Site” competition. The occasion is the renovation of the Tyrolean State Museum Ferdinandeum in Innsbruck from spring 2025 to 2027.
The aim of the competition is to realize temporary works of art on or during the construction site of the Ferdinandeum. We are looking for concepts that creatively stage the construction work, promote interaction between the museum and the city and make the museum’s transformation process visible. Particular attention should be paid to environmentally friendly and sustainable approaches.
The competition has a two-stage structure: In the first stage, please submit a portfolio of your relevant artistic work. Selected participants will be invited to the second stage of the competition, where detailed concepts will be submitted. A jury will select the best projects, which will then be implemented as part of the conversion project.
