An eventful year with many trips to the Harz mountains is (almost) behind us. There wasn’t enough time for a hike, but there was enough time for in-depth discussions with art associations, museums, city councils and artists. Next year we will be visiting the Altmark and are already looking forward to new encounters.
Many of our initiatives are to be continued in the coming year or are entering a new round. For example, a number of artists are currently working on documenting their oeuvre in our work database. A list of estates is also included. We will release the new works at the beginning of February. The study on a center for artists’ estates in Saxony-Anhalt is also progressing. Our survey met with a positive response and the next phase, in which the concept and feasibility study are on the agenda, will also start in 2025 – provided the state parliament makes a corresponding change to the budget.
The BBK office will be closed from December 19, 2024 up to and including January 6, 2025. We are therefore taking a long break to start the new year fresh, which will then get off to an intensive start with a Board meeting and Board retreat.
Of course, we would be delighted if you would follow us to the Harz Mountains and take a look at the “generally fresh” exhibition between the years. We wish you a relaxing Christmas season and lots of fine and applied art under the Christmas tree!
With best regards
