International Summer Studio and Artist Scholarship – Aschersleben

Working, learning and well-being are the three key words with which Aschersleben, the oldest town in Saxony-Anhalt, successfully promotes itself. Education, art and culture play a particularly important role and form a strong symbiosis, especially at the Bestehornpark education center. The Aschersleben International Summer Studio, which was initiated by the city of Aschersleben for the first time in 2015, underlines this development in the immediate vicinity of the Neo Rauch Graphic Arts Foundation.

The International Summer Studio Aschersleben, organized by the city of Aschersleben, can be awarded to 4 artists and comprises a studio and a living space for each artist, including furniture, electricity, water, heating and internet connection. The rooms are made available for a period of three months from June to September of each year.

The work and activities of the artists are accompanied by press and public relations work during this period. Information about the studio program and the work of the respective artists will be published on the Aschersleben website. At the end of the three-month program, the artists will give a public presentation of the results of their work.
