Residency scholarship in Ahrenshoop

The Art Foundation awards an annual residency scholarship for up to two artists at the Künstlerhaus Lukas in Ahrenshoop in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

The internationally active Künstlerhaus Lukas promotes artistic practice open to all ages in the fields of visual arts, performing arts, literature, music and curating. It offers the scholarship holders a time of special quality – a free space for artistic practice and reflection and transdisciplinary dialog. Together with the Neues Kunsthaus Ahrenshoop – the forum for external presentation – it is an important place for contemporary art and the current artistic and humanities discourse.

Künstlerhaus Lukas strives to be family-friendly and flexible. Children and partners can be brought along at times and stay overnight in the artist studio provided. However, professional childcare is not available. It is possible to split up the scholarship period after consultation with the Künstlerhaus, but the period of the scholarship as advertised by the Art Foundation should generally be adhered to.

For further information, please contact Ms. Olivia Franke, Director of the Künstlerhaus.
