The scholarship for art is being advertised for 2025.
The annual scholarship promotes the further development of artistic work.
Artists are invited to apply if they have developed a convincing body of artistic work several years after graduating from an art academy and already have a diverse, possibly international exhibition record.
What does the scholarship offer?
The scholarship is endowed with 30,000 euros.
The quality of the previous work is decisive for the award of the scholarship.
The decision is made by an expert jury consisting of artists, designers, professors and representatives of the foundation.
What else is included in the scholarship?
The scholarship is linked to the additional possibility of a teaching assignment, workshop or lecture in the scholarship holder’s subject area at the Faculty of Design at Pforzheim University. The Faculty of Design decides whether the teaching assignment is awarded or not.
The final exhibition of the scholarship takes place in the municipal “Pforzheim Galerie” or in the “Kunstverein Pforzheim im Reuchlinhaus”. In addition to the scholarship, the respective institution provides a contribution of up to 7,000 euros towards the costs of realizing the exhibition on site. A publication accompanying the exhibition will be supported by the Pforzheim Cultural Office with a production contribution of up to 3,000 euros.
There is no residency requirement.
Who can apply for the scholarship?
Artists living in Germany from the fields of painting, graphics, sculpture, performance, installation, photography and video are invited to apply.
You apply exclusively digitally, with proof of your artistic work (CV, exhibition certificates, selection of artistic works with max. 25 images, for videos with max. 3 links). Liability for security lies with the applicant.
There is also the possibility of submitting a future project or plan for in-depth study that can be realized with the help of the scholarship. The description is also submitted with up to 15 sketches or images.
